I’m now back to my normal cheerful, self again! Typically I just have one “blahhh” day of the week or month, so now you’ve experienced the feelings I push too down inside for others to find. . .
Yesterday got me thinking about my future and past and how the plans I made as a little girl haven’t really been fulfilled yet. . .
So, I’m currently 17 1/2 as y’all know by now, and I would like to share my life plan with you that I had mapped out when I was 11 1/2, barely surviving 6th grade. . .
I was supposed to graduate High School at 16.
I was pretty close. I graduated High School two weeks after I turned 17; I finished my last class before my 17th birthday so technically I did finish High School at 16.
I also was supposed to get a job. . .
That hasn’t happened yet. 😣😂
I was supposed to have a boyfriend at 17 while working my way through community college.
Ummm. . . I don’t have a boyfriend but I am going to a community college, just not the community college I had expected to be attending.
I was supposed to get engaged to this said boyfriend after about a year of dating.
I was supposed to finish my basics at the community college. . .
I’m still seventeen, so I don’t know how that’s going to play out.
This is where I gave myself two options, two paths in life to choose from.
I could either get married to said fiance, or I could go to a university to study to be a marine biologist.
Well, I am now planning on majoring in English, so no marine biology degree, and I still don’t have a boyfriend so. . . Yeah.
I had planned on finishing my degree or starting a family. . .
Man, literally NOTHING I planned as an 11 1/2 year-old has happened!
Do you know how discouraging that is?
Yeah. . . But at 11 I also wanted to marry a cowboy Prince and live on a ranch in Texas. Somehow, I doubt THAT is going to happen. 😊
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my eleven-year-old thoughts!
Stay tuned for my next post. . .
